I'm Late

Okay so I stopped taking my birth control pills a month ago after being on them for about 7 years.  I'm now about 3-4 days late.  Normally if I forget my pills or something for a few days I would start early or something like that...not miss my period or be late. Also, normally if I'm about to start my period and my husband and I have sex it "triggers" it and I start up...still nothing.  I've been having some heartburn a couple times a day lately and that's very odd for me, along with being very hungry and emotional.  I'm having some cramps and the "about to start" period feelings but still nothing.  Could I be pregnant or just a delay due to stopping the pill?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

You could be pregnant, and it could be your body regulating after being on the pill...it can go either way. I'd wait a little longer before you test, it took me over four weeks to get a period after stopping birth control.

Oh and about a week or two ago my breast were EXTREMELY sore and very swollen...don't know if that makes a difference or not.
