I used my regular liquid detergent, just rinsed it an extra time, and I used snuggle free and clear fabric softner so my baby girls stuff would be soft.

I washed some blankets and only his 0-3 months clothes. I plan on washing the rest of it after he is born. I washed all his towels bibs socks robes burb clothes wash cloths things like that too. He bedding set. I used dreft this time but plan on switching to the purex one because dreft is simply too expensive for a little bottle. I'm 36+4 and washed everything about 2 weeks ago.

I used a regular detergent just free of dyes and perfumes. I already have to use it personally since i am alergic to all detergents myself. So its convient for me. And do not use softners. Dryer sheets are OK if you get non scented or without any perfumes.
The main reason you want to wash anything new is because chemical starches and stifeners are aplyed to clothing to keep them without wrinkles and such. On top off the other point who knows how many times it hit the floor lol
I wash 3 weeks before my due date simply because I have preterm labor. And need to be prepared. Its exciting getting so close :)

I washed all my little mans clothes and stuff when I was 32 weeks and I used dreft but I was told not to use fabric softner or dryer sheets but idk if that's true, but better be safe then sorry! Now I'm 34 wks but everything is set and ready so all we need is little Breccan and were good to go. It's early but you never know what can happen he tried coming last Sunday so I'm glad we got it all ready now instead of waiting

I'm a germophobe and I washed all my son's clothes and washable Items the day I got 'em and then a few weeks before he was born (thank goodness since he came earlier than expected, lol). I'm using Dreft as the detergent but anythin' without harsh chemicals and sensitive will work. If you do plan on usin' regular detergent, It's recommended that you wash the clothes again In plain water to get the harsh chemicals out since babies skin are sooo sensitive.

I would use the detergent all baby or dreft and wash the week or week before baby is due. It is a good idea to wash because you don't know who's hands have been on the clothes while they were at the store or if they have taken on the floor.

Any detergent that's free and clear will do the trick I plan on using purex. And I would wash what you know you will use that way your bub won't grow out of clothes faster than you can use them all

Everything needs to be washed before your little one uses it but id only wash the stuff you know will be used. I have been told to buy sensitive skin detergent but my mom said she never used anything different when I was born
