In hospital :/

So after my period like cramps this morning I was told to come into L&D just to get checked out and turns out I was in pre labour at 26 weeks.. Regular contractions at around a 50 on the toco scale every couple of minutes. I'm on medication to stop the contractions, they have eased but not stopped, and I've been given a shot to develop bubs lungs. If They manage to stop the contractions ill be on light duties for work and must take medication the rest of my pregnancy. Just wanted to let everyone know that no matter how small it seems always go to the hospital because something really could be wrong !

Just to update you ladies its very early morning and they have given me more of the labour stopping drugs during the night. I've been so groggy from the muscle relaxants they gave me on top of that but I'm just so glad my little one is fine, bubs was cheeky for the ladies every time they checked his/her heart beat bub would kick and swim away! :)
I knew the cramps were not right as I hadn't experienced them at all before and had a normal pregnancy till this point, by the time I reached the hospital I had been feeling the cramping for 6 hours without a break. And it wasn't even major cramping.. I'm so greatful to the staff here who have been wonderful in making sure me and my fiancé and bub were fully informed and given the best medical care. Fingers crossed bubby wants to stay in until at least 37 weeks now with the help of this medication. Ill be monitored closely this morning and if given the all clear that the contractions are under control, they will continue watching me closely until i give birth and im on low activity work in the workplace and at home. I know I'm one of the lucky ones.. But with all seriousness if you are at all concerned about something with your bodies/babies, ladies do get checked out I can't urge that enough! And thank you for your support :)
