Was told yesterday that i have to get induced in the next couple of days, he explained the process to me.
He said normally you'll get admitted to the hospital in the afternoon/night time, then they massage a gel into your cervix that is supposed to dialate your cervix overnight, that is sometimes enough to send you into labour, if no labour they will break your waters the next morning, then wait a few hours to see if that brings labour on, last resort of that doesn't work they hook you up to a drop that gives you a synthetic form of the labour hormone (forgot what it's called) pitocin i think... And this brings on labour. This is in Victoria in Australia by the way, i think they maybe do things different in America,UK etc so not sure. But here they try to get thing going as naturally as possible before they resort to the synthetic hormone. Good luck :)

Doctors gave me cervadil (I think that's what it's called) pill up in the vagina overnight because my cervix had not dilated or softened at all and then they started me on pitocin early that morning to get things going more after my cervix had changed
