I was induced at 38 weeks, and was only 16 years old. (I'm 19 now LOL) I went in at 9 a.m., they broke my water. Then measured contractions and heart beat for about a half hour, and I walked. And walked. And walked in circles around the birthing unit. I didn't want to sit Down. I heard walking sped up labor. I didn't start having.painful contractions until about 3:00, by 3:30 I was 10 centimeters dialted and pushed for exactly 23 minutes. My little Guy was born at 4:02 p.m. MIND YOU I USED NO PAIN MEDS! @ 16!! Now I'm 25w5d and plan the same method. Goodluck to you.
I had the pill inserted into the cervix Monday at 6pm started contracting a little at the time i didn't want an epidural so they wouldst give me pitocin. Finally Tuesday at 3pm labor started hard core got an epi at 6pm started pushing at 11pm Tuesday had him 1am Wednesday it was a long labor and i really hope this time i go naturally but im planning on a edpidural this time because they are amazing:) so if i do get induced sure hope they use pitocin and i sure hope.it works better than
the pill!!
I was induced with my son two years ago due to being high risk. The nice part was I never had to question is it the right time to head to the hospital or not. No mad dash to get my bags on the way out the door, it was all planned. I cannot compare it to natural as far as pain is concerned, but I did feel more prepared mentally since I knew when he was coming. I will be induced for my baby girl too and am not worried at all. Congrats.
