Is it implantation bleeding? 3 Month of no period then 1 day of light bleeding

I haven't had my Period since about Dec 17th and have taken 3 pregnancy test and they all have came back negative. Then today March 24th, 2011 I had a tiny bit of spotting (not even enough to use a light tampon) and then it was gone. I don't really know what to think because I haven't had a period in so long and I was about to start a medication to start my period so I could start the pill. I have cyst in my ovaries and am getting on the pill to try and get rid of them because my fiance and I are trying to conceive but haven't had any luck and my doctor says the cyst are the reason why. Any advice?

The m.I.a. period could be a direct result of the cysts. Which is what many woman are suffering from.. Pcos. Birth control will help get rid of the cysts but a drug called Metformin is what they usually give to women who are actively trying to conceive. Its primarily a drug used to maintane sugar levels in diabetics but aids (somehow) in increasing fertility as well. It also helps some women lose weight. I took it for 3 months after being diagnosed with the cysts about 4 yrs ago. I stopped taking it and about 8 months later I was pregnant. But then again I don't really have a problem conceiving or miscarrying. I'm pregnant now 9+ weeks and that too was natural (and unplanned) but still, ask about it. My close friend used it to conceive her son. She too suffered with the cysts. Have your blood drawn to check & make sure you're not pregnant now. Then start your regimen accompanied with either a multi vitamin or prenatal vitamin.
