Is it just spotting?

I need to know if what I'm experiencing is consider normal and not a bad thing. I have suspected for roughly the last two weeks that I am pregnant, experiencing nausea, fatige, and sometimes breast tenderness. While I can't remember when exactly my period was in July, I'm sure I should have had it by now. Normally I get severe cramps a week before and during the first day of my period, I also have pretty heavy flow the first day. I have only had very minor abdominal pain this month. Last Wednesday on Aug. 24 I took a pregnancy test at a care center which came up negative, I was told to come back and take another after two weeks. Then, today, when I used the bathroom, I found pinkish blood on my toilet paper after wiping. It was a VERY small amount compared to what my period would normally be but it seemed like a lot more than "spotting" if spotting really is just.. well... spotty. I have since checked twice and found little to no blood and there is none in my underwear. I am unable to see a doctor at this time, as I cannot get on health insurance until I get a conformation of pregnancy. I need to know if this would be considered spotting or not. It gave me a horrible scare, making me far more nauseous than I already am. Any answers at all are greatly appreciated.

I don't know that an ultra sound would do me any good at this time. When I went in for my PT the nurse told me that you have to be at least 6w 3d for them to be able to see anything and she had thought that my test came up neg because I was testing too early, therefore, I wouldn't be quite that far along yet.

Update:
Went to the bathroom again and again there was blood on the toilet paper. This time it was a pinkish brown and not as much as the first time, but same gooey consistancy with no clots. There is still only blood when I wipe.

I know exactly how you feel. I know health insurance is a big thing now but you can go in to the ER with abdomin pain and they will give you a pregnancy test and an ultra sound and that will clear everything up. Ultra sounds are alot better than peeing on a stick trust me i know it took me 3 years with my boyfriend and im 27 weeks today with a little girl. Hope that helps.
