Is my button piercing rejecting?

Im 18 weeks pregnant, I got my belly button pierced 15 weeks ago before I found out I was pregnant. My piercing is really sore and red theres some discharge coming from it. My piercing wasnt bothering me untill maybe a week ago. Im not sure if its rejecting or infected or if its still healing. I dont want to take it out if I dont have to, but if its rejecting I will. I was going to get the maternity piercing but my piercing is really bothering me. Any advice?

I'm a qualified body piercer and also 19 wks with second child you should remove the piercing bar straight away as it will never have a chance to heal with you ever expanding skin. Have it redone when your body is back to normal. If you risk infection then you risk all sorts of complications not just for you but also for the baby,if it makes you ill then your baby will also be ill

Id take it out :/ you can always get it redone after you baby arrrives :)

Mine started rejecting when i got pregnant and i had it for 4 months before, i put maternity ones in and it still made no difference so i told it out and it healed just fine! Only have a little mark now. My scar isnt bad.

You can try a flexible one. The ones that aren't metal. That's what I had to do, and I'm only 7 weeks and I've had my belly pierced since I was 14. (22now) but my ring started to get really irritated and I switched it to a non metal one cleaned it a lot and now its fine.

Mine did this when I got it pierced as well, mine was rejecting but I refused to take it out because I want aware it was rejecting and now I have a horrible scar :/ if it doesn't get better I'd probably take it out, I wish I would have.

You should get the maternity one but if it really hurts bad you should take if out cause you don't want no infections ..
