When you have sex it makes your uterine muscles contract, usually you don't notice too much but after having a baby everything is swollen and still hurts so it causes cramps because your uterus is contracting to get back to it's normal size. It stretches from the size of about a tennis ball to the size of a watermelon during pregnancy. I don't think you have anything to worry about. After the birth of my daughter my husband and I did the same thing and my bleeding stopped for a little bit...but came back like the next day or two. If it lasts for a long time (cramps) then I would see a doctor. But probably isn't too serious.
