Mommy_Daddy_2 Thank you soo much :) & i really hope so too!
I had my daughter at 33 weeks she was fine and we went home the next day.. best of luck to you:)
Thank you ladies that agreed I was not trying to be rude I was just stating that ladies shouldn't give false information and worry moms anymore than they already are.SupermomSuperwife I hope your baby stays in until closer to your due date :) good luck
Agreed. If you don't facts, don't give out info. Because how many weeks a baby is has nothing to do with how long they'll be in the NICU. Depends on the weight and health of the baby. Definitely not the case that they'll be in the NICU until they're 37 weeks because they're early. No mother wants their baby to be in intensive care or come early enough to where it could harm them. Some people. Clearly this mother in her Original post said she's asking because she's been having pain. Don't make assumptions.
Mommy_Daddy_2 is exacly right,im really worried because ive been getting really sharp pain & then i was spotting im about to be 33wks & im just soo scared i might be going into labor soon..thats y i was asking..i never did say i wanted to have my bby already.
I don't think any mom wishes their child to be in NICU it is a horrible experience. She said she's been having pains and I'm assuming she is worried about having her baby early thru no fault of her own.
I wouldn't want to have a baby that early. Sorry but who would want to have there child that early knowing they would have to be in the nicu and have tubes in them its really selfish. The baby needs longer time to develop. Not saying your trying to have the baby but this early isn't good. 35w would be more respectable though. I would never chose for my child to be in intensive care.
Mommydaddy2 is right some people should not give advise if they don't know. I have seen a lot of advise on here that has no foundation and that will only scare pregnant women and not help at all.
By the way babies are born at 36 week's all the time healthy a baby does not have to be 37 weeks or go to nicu. Baby's just need to be fully matured and ready. No need to scare a woman unnecessarily, a Dr could not even give an exact time for a baby born at 33 wweek's to be in nicu.
I don't think she was talking to you, someone else said the baby would be in the nicu until 37 weeks because that is when they are considered full term.
Baby will not be in a incubator or nicu for a certain amount of time. They take them in until they can stabilize body temp, eat and breath without help. They give medications like steroids and such to help baby's body develop faster and for a baby that is otherwise healthy that has no additional complications it normally don't take very long.
I was not responding to you nor was I rude. I simply stated please do not tell someone false information (like they will be in the incubator till 37w). You didn't say that so I'm not sure why you thought I was talking to you.
You don't have to be so rude about it. I was simply stating what happened with my sister and nephew.
Thank you soo much ladies! :)
How many weeks they are has nothing to do with how long they will be in NICU. Please dont tell people information on it if you don't know. My son was a preemie at 35 weeks he was in NICU for 5 days aNd then got to come home. How long your baby is in NICU will depend on how they are doing health wise nothing else.
A baby can survive outside the womb at 27 weeks with intensive care, so I would say that your baby might b a little premature but he would be just fine. Good luck, hope everything goes well.
My sister had her baby at 32 weeks he was only in the nicu for a week and on tube for 2 days. He's almost 7 months now and is a chunky healthy baby
He will be a premature baby and in a inkavator until week 37 that's when he'll be full term
