Is this normal???

My daughter is 22 weeks along and Dr gave her a prescription for a antibiotic for a bacterial infection. She is 4 days into 7 days of medication.  She just started having some kind of discharge and i was wondering if this is normal? The infection is not a std.

The antibiotics are fine during pregnancy. I am on them myself right now for Bronchitis. As far as the discharge, it gets to be more during the pregnancy. If she is not uncomfortable and there is no bad odor then it is most likely the normal discharge of pregnancy. If there is an odor or if she starts itching or getting uncomfortable, then it could be a yeast infection, which some antibiotics can cause.

Anitbiotics are find during pregnancy. However, it can cause a yeast infection, just like when you're not pregnant. She may call her Dr. I know mine says you can use Monistat during pregnancy. Eating yougurt too will help with a yeast infection and is also a good preventative measure.
