Even when I went into labor (1 time out of 6 lol) they still gave me crap through my iv....they told me that I had to have it. This time I'm talking to my doctor first I really don't want to be hooked up to Ivs!

I wish my inductions went that fast.  My 1st was 25 hours, 2nd was 36.  Hoping my body figures out how to go into labor on its own this time.

It depends on the person. When I was induced I had my babies within hours...labor came very fast for me and delivery was so fast that for 2 of my deliveries the doctor wasn't even ready lol. Good luck with everything!

They gave me that to make my cervix relax, so it would open up. They said they had to get my cervix to loosen before I could go into labor or else the baby wouldn't come out vaginally causing them to need to do a c section, it worked, but it didn't induce full blown labor contractions. So a few hours after the cervidil they gave me petocin and then my daughter came maybe less than an hour after that.
