Itching and Burning!!

I have a yeast infection...dr said it was okay to use Monistat cream...wow! When i applied it..y lady part was on fire!!! It itches and burns like crazy....i hate yeast infections...im balling my eyes out!!!

Have you ladies gone through the same thing?

The other thing you can try is plain white yogurt. Certainly don't take antibiotics if you have a yeast infection as it will only make it worse. Yeast is a fungal infection not bacterial and when you take antibiotics it also kills off good bacteria that would normally keep the yeast in check. If you have a constant problem with yeast infections I would talk to your pharmacist about taking a probiotic or eat yogurt everyday as that helps keep good bacteria in your body and with keep the yeast down.

I didn't know there was a pill you can insert down there for yeast infections. Hmm maybe I should try that nxt time

Its really odd it hurts that much though... if I were you I'd ask you're dr again.. the cream should make it better not make it hurt worse.

That has happened to me also. After the first day, it shouldn't irritate as much but if it does the second time you use it, you're probably allergic. Next time try the pill that you insert instead of inserting the cream. It's more relieving to me. Could also work for you.

Yes it was. But since I have them alot when im pregnant I already know when I can feel one coming on so I just make an apt with my doctor to get more antibiotics

I had a yeast infection and my midwife prescribed me some medication, I can't remember what it was called, but the first night I used it I felt like it itched and burned worse than before and then by the next night when I used it again it didn't itch or burn at all.

Was your yeast infection diagnosis by your doctor ?

I have never used the cream. Omg I can only imagine how bad it hurts even puttin water down there gets me to a point I'm like ok let me just hurry up wash myself down there and be done. U should ask for antibiotics. So you won't have to put the cream down there and hurt even more.

Monistat should not make you feel that way. You might be allergic to it. I would consult with youe doctor before you use it anymore. Might be better option and did yiu try maybe putting ive down there or wet cold wash cloth. Might take away the pain for now.
