Just a Few Questions!

Hey everyone,
I recently went to the doctor and they confirmed that i am pregnant. They said that i should be around 6 weeks. I dont have my first obgyn appointment until the end of May and i just have a few questions. I was just wondering if going to the jacuzzi would  cause a miscarriage? or maybe even having sex? Im sorry i know that this probably sounds stupid, but i am just so scared of losing the baby. Also, I haven't gotten sick or vomitted once is this normal? I actually dont feel that pregnant. Thanks so much for reading this, Anything would really help. :)

If you keep the temp of the jacuzzi down to 98 degrees it is considered safe as long as you are also watching yourself for signs of overheating and dehydration.

Sex is fine during pregnancy given that you dont have any complications.

Congrats!!

Well I know it won't be REAL to me until our sonogram in two weeks and when the baby movements pick up. The whole first trimester was spent in denial for me. So I definitely, definitely understand that you feel this way!

I've had 2 miscarriages, and if you've had any, you worry. You lose your "pregnancy innocence" as I call it. For me, when I got pregnant with what ended in my 2nd M/C, I told myself to enjoy every single moment of being pregnant, for however long I'm blessed to be pregnant.

When I got pregnant after that loss (my current pregnancy) I kept the same philosophy. I just got into the nursery planning and started buying things once viability (heartbeat!) was confirmed. I wanted to enjoy the entire experience.

I still worry, of course. But I have to push that to the back of my mind and focus on other things. I wish I had better advice!

Sex is fine! Unless you start bleeding sex should be just fine. Jacuzzis are too hot when pregnant and are to be avoided. It's already very warm in the womb so a jacuzzi would almost be like boiling baby. Have women gone into jacuzzis before? Yes, but I wouldn't risk it.

I haven't vomited once this pregnancy (I'm 7 weeks 5 days). And feeling sick didn't start until around week 8 for me. Even then I wasn't sick, just a little ill feeling and it quickly went away. So everyone is different!

You won't really start to FEEL pregnant until your belly gets larger and more firm. Or when you see baby on sonogram. Or even when you feel those first movements. I know that for me it's still hard to believe!

I have always heard to avoid the jacuzzi but don't remember the reason off hand....believe it has to do with bacteria in the water because it is kept so hot but i'm not completly sure on the reasoning(someone else on here will know though-its a great place for questions!!).  Sex is fine though!!  Just make sure it is a comfortable position for you...although you shouldn't have to worry about that quite yet!!  Oh and sometimes early in pregnancy you bleed a little bit after sex-just wanted to let you know!!  Good luck!!
