pains

I'm 38 weeks and 2 days I keep getting really bad shooting stabbing pains down below mainly when the baby moves. She has been engaged for the past 2 weeks but the pains are getting worse. Even when I try and stand up it hurts and when I try and get out of bed or turn over it really hurts. And getting pains in bottom of my back like its acking. And I feel like I constantly need the toilet. does anyone know what this could mean please? Thank you

How can you tell if the pains are braxton hicks? They don't necessarily mean that labour is any closer does it?

I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow so I'm going to ask her about the pains and to see if I am dilated. It's alot worse during the night. I hope it's a good sign and have my baby soon. It's my first so everything is new to me. The pains are constant and really sharp and sore. Atleast I know it's nothing to worry about

Im also 38 weeks and i get the same pains, i think they are just braxton hicks, its where our body is pretty much preparing you for labor in the last couple of days. If you are really worried, then call your obgyn and ask her... its always better to be safe than sorry :)
