It was an accident and if it's legal in your state you're fine. It will take more than one cupcake to actually transfer to your breast milk. In studies performed it is usually habitual smokers that were tested and shown they had traces of THC in their breast milk.
Well even if someone in the house has a scrip doesnt mean its ok for other people in the house to,use it. I understand it was an accident, but you might get in trouble. This is the day and age where pcs is called for,spanking kids in public....
If it was an accident call the doctor now and let them know it was an accident. My mom has something similar happen to her when she was pregnant with my sister. She ate a pot brownie not knowing. However, marijuana is illegal here. The doctor just checked the baby and everything was fine they were aware it was an accident and there wasn't an investigation done. This was in the 80's though. But since he has a prescription you should be fine. Just let them know now.
You cant do anything, you cant detox babies. You can really hurt them. Just pray non got to him....
Im breastfeeding him i didnt know it had marijuana my boyfriend has his medical card nd he got a cupcake but i didnt know the cupcake had marijuana..what can i do i need to take my newborn tomorrow so he could get da newborn screening
I accidentally ate half of a cupcake of marijuana nd im scared that they will take away my baby
Like when deliver yes they do a drug test and if there suspicious they might test u before baby comes
The chemical ingredient does show up in newborns. As they run tests on the baby, they usually detect it.
