Labor!?!? Need advice!!!

ok ladies so I am 37 wks preggo and my doc is going out of town next week. She will be gone the whole week!! Her assistant will be checking me and delivering if he decides to come while she is gone.... I have heard nothing but horror stories about this woman and seen her finger nails!!! They are like Freddy Krugger or Edward Scissor hands! I really dont want her to deliver my son or even check me. Can I opt not to be checked???? Also this is baby #3 my 1st was born 5 days early on her own, and my 2nd was induced 3days early. So what do you think my odds are of going into labor with this one earlier???? I so dont want to have him now! I am ready for all this to be over and to have him home with us but I want my doctor to be the one to deliver him! And ideas or opinions on making sure he doesnt come early!!! Thanks ladies!

Thanks ladies.... I told her i didnt want this other doc to see me and she said not to worry because its only one check up and my other 2 babies didnt come early. But I cant help but worry because she is not going to be here. Its only the 2 of them in her practice. Plus I am terrified that he is really big. When he presses his back against my belly he just looks like he is about 10lbs already. And this doc cant even do the C-section if I need it. I just really need this boy to stay put until she comes back. Thanks again girls!!

I would talk with your doc before she goes out of town to tell her that you do not want her this other lady to check or to delivry and see if she would send you to a different doc to see while she is gone.

Is there anyone else at the office?  If so id see if another doctor could see you while she is gone.  Sorry I cant be more help
