Question about eating crab legs

So I have love love love crab legs, and I have a craving for it so tonight we were thinking of going to an all you can eat place for crab legs.....but now I'm wondering is this something I can't do, or shouldn't do??  What do you guys think?  Stay away from it, or go for it - I don't get it often, and this will prolly be the one and only time during my pregnancy that I will do this.  I'm 19 weeks as of now.

I dont not like sea food.  But 3 months ago i went to red lobster and had a taste for crab legs, i had them b4 years ago but seafood always made me nauseated.  But i ate them at red lobster and i have another craving for them so we will go on the 24 to the casino buffet, friday and saturdays they have crab legs.  I was pretty much told by my ob the same thing, in moderation.

Same here.. When pregnant with my son, I even ate Sushi (the raw kind). My doctor then told me that it was ok in moderation and as long as the place was somewhere I KNEW was safe... I should be alright.

Crab has very little mercury so that is not really a concern if they are eaten in moderation.  What you need to make sure is that they are cooked well and arent kept in a situation which could harbor bacteria etc. (i.e. in a luke warm environment under heat lamps with lots of people bending over them).

I did when I was pregnant with my son. In moderation, of course. Every year we go to the beach we always go to a seafood buffet, but this year we won't be able to. =( I love seafood. But only have it a few times a year. Just be careful and don't over eat anything. =)
