I had a natural labor as well(11 days ago)
I can't tell you how many times I told my husband to shut the **** up while I was in labor and toward the end. LOL
They did the same thing at my birthing class.I was terrified to give birth afterwards. Try learning some relaxation techniques and do some stretches and forget the video. They always show you the over dramatic mothers. Plus if you want you can always get an epidural!
I was calm most of the time but I admit I got angry a few times and yelled at the nurse because she kept trying to hold my hand after I asked her to stop ..I know she was just trying to comfort me but it was annoying lol then again when i told her the baby was coming and she kept saying no its just the pressure of his head... finally she looked and was like o my baby is coming
I agree with kimmyy93, everyone handles labor differently. I watched my best friend have a baby and heard her screaming bloody murder, when I delivered my son, my husband said that I didn't even scream or make a noise (except when I took deep breaths before I pushed). Don't get scared. I was terrified and was so worried that my son wouldn't make it out between my hips since my hips are size 0 and were size 3 during pregnancy but your body knows what to do, somehow I delivered an 8lb baby!
Every one handles labor differently you cant go off of someone elses labor (: I was terrified before I had my son I thought id be the type of person that would be cussing everyone out bcuz Im a light weight when it comes to pain dont have a high tolerence for it. And let me tell you I had my son natural no drugs and it wasnt as bad as I thought. I mean the contractions that follwed up when it was almost time to have him hurt but just make sure you breathe thru them right and its not that bad (: best of luck to you it is all worth it and remember to breathe and also not everyones labor story is the same we are all different.
