Labour keeps stopping and starti.g.

Well I'm 40 weeks now... And my labour
Keeps stopping and starting.. Started Monday very
Eratic contractions..... Which got better lasted all night...... Then nothing in the morning...started up
Again after an hour very strong but irregular for a
Hour and half..... Now all day they have been every half hour. But not overly strong.... :-(
I'm getting a little fed up and tired of them..
I wish they would get stronger..... I just want it over with..

Hi everyone..
Had my gorgeous baby boy at 11.31am on wed..
Weighting in at 8lb 15. The chunky monkey
Is fine.. We have no name.. Labour was hard and
Tiring. But was less than 12 hours from waters breaking to birth..

Waters broke at 12 midnight... Managed 2 hours sleep..... Now sat at hospital hooked up to a monitor...

Sounds like false labours! But it's all helping, you'll probably end up having a pretty short labour when it does happen!

Hi hun,just out of curiosity have you been eating throughout the day? My labour was like this with my daughter ( shes 4 now ) and when i explained to my midwife about my contractions stopping and starting,she advised me to eat lol....apparently it does something to your uterus and helps it contract. Even if you dont fancy eating big meals hun,eat picky bits.....it worked for me,contractions came thick and fast at 11.30pm and she was born 1.07am so it might be worth ago. Good luck x

I've had contractions
all afternoon and evening at 16 minutes apart. And now they have stopped.. Had nothing for an hour
And baby hasn't stopped moving and wiggling

Well at least yaz r gettin sun signs of labour starting lol me on the other hand im 40+4 today im 3cm dilated ive had 2sweeps n still no sign of labour starting to b truthful im 100% sick now im so wanting contractions its stupid i no but im just sooo ready for labour im sooo ready for the pain i just dnt wanna b pregos no longer lol

Aww its a nightmare! I had that for a week or so every day until I really did get labour established...if it makes you feel better, I only had a 4hr labour, I reckon all that practice does make a difference! I'm at 36wks and am dreading seeing that 40wk mark come and go again! Good luck, not long now (even though it doesnt feel like it!)
