Lead Paint ?

So the house that I currently live in we were told last week that it has lead paint . Our lease will be up before the baby gets here , even if it wasn't I would NEVER bring my child into a home with lead paint . My question is , can the paint effect the baby when I'm pregnant ? Should I move now & break my lease , or can I wait it out until my lease is up in March ? Thanks !

Normally if you break lease for a legitimate reason you won't get in any legal trouble if your landlord isn't understanding. I broke a lease because my townhouse was broken into and my landlords wouldn't replace the door, and when they took me to court I won the case. I would definitely break my lease for lead paint!!!

Lead from the paint can cross into your placenta and cause lead poisoning to the baby.  Go to the epa website it has good info there, but I would break my lease and leave asap! Good luck
