Thank you lady's and congrats to all
I thinm every women is different and depends what activitys u do if u do light excercise and what u eat also i was 220 before i got pregnant i had bad morning sickness and still have issues with what i eat because baby doesnt like certain things ibused to like i also do light walking every single day n as of today i weigh 208 i lost alotnof weight and my doc freaked but explained how i loost it all and he said baby is healthy and doing great so i think it just depends on the pregnancy and mother nothing to do with if she starve or not im just happy my baby is healthy and take my vitamins n eat what i can ill be ok ;)
It depends on every women, baby and pregnant. My son measures bigger despite me losing 34 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight. However my pre pregnancy weight was 278 so it was recommended that I lose weight and since my weight has been the same the past few months there is no need for me to lose or gain since my son is healthya and measuring bigger
Im due friday and have gained 19 pounds and lost 2 pounds this last doc visit.. My baby is huge lol almost 8.pounds im a waitress and working until my due date, i walk all day everyday and im fine and so is baby
Im due in a couple days and gained 4 pounds which means i lost weight since the baby is about 6 or 7 pounds and j didnt starve myself i ate like a cow my whole pregnancey just with healthy foods and i stayed active everyones body is different
Well I'm 13 weeks and I still weigh the same as I did when I first found out I waa . I mean thanks to my father I have high metabolism me and my brothers so we can eat a whole horse n only gain a lb or two n hopefully do t lose no lbs. Every pregnancy is different ..... I just seen my obgyns and both male and female said my baby girl is healthy as can me very active and heartbeat very strong ..... but my doctors both said its not the food u should be worried about its ur liquids !!
Everyone is different u can lose a little depending on ut activity level and gain more or less depending on the same
I guess none of you ladies read the title QUESTIONS weight loss while pregnant??? Like I said I'm a ftm and when I went to the doctors they gave me guideline on what was expected from a pregnant women in there it has that its unhealthy to loose to much weight and its unhealthy to gain to much weight and it also has that if your not gaining enough weight you can have a low birth weight child just like you can have a over weight child so common sense to me was to gain not loose weight but just don't gain excessive weight but I'm not going to argue with nobody and if you took ofence to my post then thats too bad thanks to the ladies that actually explained why some lose weight now I know next time I'll ask a professional that's gets paid to talk about these things
Maybe just a little research would help I understand it was just a question, to help you understand a little more this is my 2nd child my first I lost 23 lbs off my pre pregnancy weight simply because 1: I was CONSTANTLY throwing up until 5 months 2: before pregnancy I was a fast food eater, but when I got pregnant all I wanted was fruits and veggies and 3: I couldn't eat as much as I use to. Well this 2nd pregnancy im 15 weeks and have lost 5 lbs, because I throw up every time I eat or just dont have an appetite. The baby will take everything it needs from you if you aren't eating the nutrients thebaby needs, so technically in the end what you eat is the nutrients to put back into your body that the baby takes. Hope this helped
I was overweight before I got pregnant and just by severemorning sickness, walking and changing my diet I have lost a bunch of weight but my baby ishealthy because I eat as much as is recommended. I am not strving myself, I litterally eat 6 times more than I did before I got pregnant. My obgyn sees no problem wiht my weight loss since the past few months my weight has been the same since as my baby's weight gain makes up for my weight loss. weight loss does not become a concern unless the baby is not growing like it should be. Don't assume that women are starving themseves just because they lost weight during pregnancy.
some people have morning sickness throughout their whole pregnancy...i lost 20 lbs because of it. yes i have gained some of it back but some girls get sick alot which can cause them to loose weight. and some girls barely gain any weight i know girl who gained like 10 lbs their whole pregnancy and they had healthly babies. i think that if someone isnt gaining enough or what not im sure their doctor would be concerned and they would do something to make it better. you dont know everybodys story or what is going on in their pregnancy....if their baby is healthly along with them i dont see what the problem is....not everygirl is gonna gain 40+ lbs while they are pregnant.
I was a little overweight before i got pregnant, the nausea constant throwing up in the first trimester made me lose weight, at that time I so wished i could eat something without getting sick. Eventually i got over it, now im gaining the appropriate weight for my type of body and for my baby, my doctor said which is 15lbs-20lbs max this whole pregnancy.
I was overweight already. Lol seems like yourthe ignorant one here.
You basically assume that a woman who is losing weight while pregnant is starving/trying to lose weight. I tried to lose weight/ate healthier because
No that's your problem for posting these kind of I would say question but it ain't even a question. Just another dumb comment. Lol the belly has nothing to do on how your eating or how your healthy your baby is lol.
I think that you are jumping to conclusions about a lot of these moms. You say you are not meaning to be rude but the way you wrote in your post you're sounding pretty judgemental and throwing accusations out like these woman are intentionally not feeding themselves. They say it is normal to gain up to 35lbs your whole pregnancy. But that is not the case for most. Some gain excessive while others hardly gain. Every one is different. No two bodies alike. So doctors cannot give an accurate amount of weight gain for pregnant women as a whole. Hope this answered your question. Just maybe try to rephrase your post and not say you think they're intentionally not eating so you don't get moms that want to jump down your throat. Just the way you put it sounded really rude.
i cant gelp my weight. i weighed 105 starting out bc i didnt know i was pregnant. im not 113 last time went to the doctor. they said i was perfect size n ill be 22weeks tomorrow.. everybody is different. i was consurned myself but when my doc told me that i shouldnt worrie and im one of those girl u cant tell they r pregnant until i turn around. n my doctor said wome like that wont gain any weight until their 3 trimester. n by then some are different and still wont gain much. my hubbys mom didnt weigh 107 when she gave birth to him n he was a big n long n healthy baby. so i guess everybodys different.
I haven't met anyone who doesn't eat while pregnant that is crazy never heard it. But yes some people lose the unhealthy weight they had i was losing weight and my baby was growing fine my doctor actually wanted me lose more and as everything gets bigger u will start gaining my stomach is not humongous everyone belly is different sizes we are built different everyone situations are different
What was the question? I didn't see one anywhere in that whole post. You said you asked your sister and then went on to say how unless its a medical reason you think everyone should be gaining and not losing etc.
First off I said I wasn't trying to be mean are rude if you got offended then that's your problem and yes I'm a first time mom so if my lack of knowledge is off then so be it that's why I posted this as a question so your the one who's being rude its nothing wrong with asking questions to find out and some girls don't eat while pregnant to save their body image never said all of them do don't be ignorant twords the post because I was never being negative at all its just something I was wondering because when I got pregnant my doctors wanted to make sure I gained the proper weight I was soposed to so I just thought every women is soposed to gain something while pregnant sorry if my curiosity upset you lol
I had horrible all day and night sickness the first 5 months. I'm talking about I couldn't eat or even drink anything without it comin back up. I was hospitalized twice and lost 15 pounds and I only weighed 120 pounds before I had got pregnant. But finally my sickness started easing off and I had to take zofran several times a day to even eat a little bit. I'm now 8 months (33 weeks) and I can eat whatever I want but I still have a small baby bump. Everyone at my work can't believe I'm already so far along they say I look like I'm about 4 or 5 months. But my little girl is perfectly healthy and weighs 4 pounds so far :) all women grow differently and at different paces!
A lot of women lose weight simply by changing their diet too. Some have pretty unhealthy, fast food, high fat/low exercise diets but when they become pregnant start eating much healthier. Belly size has nothing to do with anything.
