feeding?

so my little regɑns now 8 dɑys old ɑnd hes drinking 3oz every 3 hours but wɑnts feeds in between normɑlly he drinks ɑn oz-2oz of milk. do you think its okɑy to put him on hungry bɑby milk? ɑnyone done this with their child this eɑrly? xxx

Yes, what is hungry baby milk?

I can only share my own experience. I have formula fed two of my daughter and I have exclusively breastfed my third daughter. My first daughter ate so so sooooo slow! It was as if she was constantly eating because she would take an hour to drain a bottle. And then an hour later she'd want another (you time feedings from start-to-start).

My second daughter drained hers much faster and I am having a more difficult time remembering how feedings were with her in regard to frequency.

And finally, my booby baby (as I call her) would nurse whenever she wanted. Some days she'd want to nurse every 2 hours and other days every 30 minutes and other days every 4 hours.

Babies have growth spurts, they get thirsty, they get hungry after burning more energy, etc. I have always fed on demand whether formula or breastmilk and I always encourage other mothers to do the same. You won't have an "obese" baby but a very healthy baby whose needs are being met. Baby knows when he's hungry and he knows when he's full. Plus it is less stressful than watching the clock while your little one is screaming in hunger. They just don't understand. All they know is they are hungry. They don't know what a clock or time is and just go by what their tummies tell them.


And by the way he is SO STINKING ADORABLE!!!

try using size 3 teats on his bottles where he can get more milk and less air, wind him every 5-10 mins, if hel drink more, let him drink more, or more often. i recommend not feeding the hungry baby milk to him, i gave it to my daughter at about 2 months and her puke looked like scrambled eggs, its too heavy for a young child (in my opinion) , i would just feed him more/ more often. hes such a cutie xo

I looked this stuff up, and from what it looks like it's made just so parents don't have to feed their babies as often. There is little point to use it, and babies ONLY need formula (proper formula) or breastmilk for the first year of their life. Anything else is too heavy for their system and shouldn't be used. His digestive system isn't even fully formed yet. Your child is young, and it's natural that he's going to eat, and might eat frequently. He might not even be truly hungry and could just find comfort in the sucking motion.

Unless there's a proper medical reason why your child would need this, it shouldn't be used.
