Living a nightmare

Went to the er last night for a recheck, did an ultrasound and told me that my cervix is short and opened from the inside. Admitted shortly after being told it was a for sure miscarriage, to being told I'd need a cervical cerclage, to being told I'm just starting to become effaced and if cervix isn't continuing to shorten that progesterone supplements could help. I'm 2 days shy of 18 weeks. Baby's dad doesn't care much, came for an hour last night to just text and play on his phone. I'm terrified. According to the ultrasound last night my cervix is measuring 1.6 cm. Has anyone had this problem? Has anyone had success with a cervical stitch. I'm terrified and just need some positive outcomes to think about.

They are effective.. My friend got em at 16 weeks and carried her baby till 38weeks..was bed rest: going to pee and fast shower only, eating in bed.
Stay positive and as hard it might seem: try not to stress much.
Sending positive vibes ur way ;) God bless!
