Long Menstrual Cycle

I am a 31 year old woman who stopped using the birth control pill about six months ago (after being on it regularly for 8 years).  My husband and I are trying to conceive & for the last three months my menstrual cycles have been approx. 35-37 days long.  I've read that anything over 35 days can indicate problems with ovulation.  Is this true?  Given that I was on the pill for so long, does it take time for my cycle to normalize?  I have no idea what the length of my cycle was prior to starting the pill.

Thanks for any advice.

I'm 28, and experiencing the exact same thing, with concern.  I quit the pill about 6 months ago.  Two months ago, I had a 37 day cycle, then a 28, now a 36/37 day cycle. Uggh! I'm so frustrated! I wish I could help, but I am also looking for insight!

Being on the pill can mess up your cycles until your body regulates. I would see your doc about it, they can better tell you what could be going on. Sorry I don't have more info for you, I'm not too familiar with BC.
