I am in your same situation: I had 3 miscarriages within 14 mo's. Turns out I tested positive for MTHFR. After receiving the diagnosis, not only did I consult my obgyn but also hematologist. "Although nothing is 100%" Levenox does increase your chances of a viable pregnancy.
My hemo and gyno agreed to put me on. Currently I am on Lovenex, progesterone, baby aspirin and prenatal. "None of this can hurt you and only increase your chances." Both hemo and gyno have patience with the same treatment and they are moving along nicely. One patient has twins!
Shots suck but its a small price to pay for the little miracle. Also, be careful when cooking (knives) and normal stuff like pedi's or mani's are not recommended because of nicks and our blood being thin.
Also, I have a friend that gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby boy -- she was the one that told me about hemo.
Good luck to you, ask a lot of questions to your doc's and trust your instincts. You will be fine... you'll see.
God bless!
Don't worry too much I have been told i will have to do the same thing once I get pregnant again. I lost my daughter at 36 weeks and found out I have factor V leiden and that this regimen works really well for those of us with clotting issues. I signed up for the factor V leiden pregnancy support group and through this have read about numerous sucessful pregnancies after being on baby aspirin and lovenox. Good luck to you and try to stay happy and relaxed
i have mthfr and when i was ttc and during my last pregnancy i took lovenox injections. my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage, just like my other 3. however, they think it was due to my progesterone not being high enough. we've decided that we dont want to try to have children now.
hope things work out for you!
