Lovenox

I am 22 and I have had three miscarriages in the past year. I've never gotten past 6 weeks. My doctor  did a batch of bloodwork on me, as well as shooting dye into my uterus and tubes. Everything in my blood work came back fine, except I have MTHFR, which is a blood clotting disorder. We finally feel ready to try again. My doctor gave me a prescription for Lovenox 40mgs once a day. Plus I'm on Folic Acid. Has anyone taken this and had a sucess story?

Also I'm worried about spotting while on this. Did anyone spot?

Thanks so much in advance!

just some hope. I have 2 cousins( one on each side of the family) that have blood clotting disorders ( factor something??) that are both rare and they both have a different type. They have both recently had thier first babies and it took 1 of them 3 yrs to have a baby and a lot of mcgs. and the other one it took her a lil over a year & a few mcgs. but it eventually happened for both of them and I think the one was on lovenox. So it will happen it just takes time and sometimes alot of heartache later!!!

Also, if you have a clotting disorder, the clots would pose more harm to the fetus than Lovenox would.....You need to have sufficient blood flow to the placenta in order to support a pregnancy.

I've never been on Lovenox...but am a nurse and give the injections all the time......You may have some spotting only b/c it's a blood thinner...but I'm not sure that it would be unsafe to have some spotting...as long as your cervix is in good shape.....
