Could This Be A Miscarriage?

I found out a little over a week ago I was 4wks pregnant. Now I would be 5wks. For the past few days I have been bleeding and the color was changing off and on and was only when I went to the bathroom. I ended up in the hospital twice within 24hrs for severe higher abdominal pains. They said it had nothing to do with the pregnancy and sent me home. The second time I went back in I was so dehydrated that they could barely get an IV in me. It took 5 tries before they got one in. Now I am having some lower abdominal pains. Hurt kinda bad. And today I am bleeding a little bit and passed one clot the size of a Nickel today. Could I be having a miscarriage? That's what I think. I go in to see my doctor tomorrow for a check up and everything. I'm just nervous as to what's going on. Any advice would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I did have a miscarriage. I though I was. It was my first pregnancy so I was a little freaked out about it. Never thought a miscarriage would cause so much pain and everything else that I had. I was unable to walk and even stand for almost 3 days due to so much pain. Finally today my pain has eased off. I can finally walk and everything. I couldn't eat or drink for 2 days. It was horrible. I guess every one is a little different though.

I agree with Heather. I had bleeding with all three of pregnancies, two resulted into my boys and one ended in a miscarriage. Some women just have off and on bleeds during their pregnancies, for some this results into a normal pregnancies and others not.

I wish I could give you  a definite answer but sadly only your OB can. I hope tomorrow brings you a happy ending!

Unfortunatley, the only thing you can do is wait to confirm with the doctor.  All of the symtoms do sound like a miscarriage, however there are some women that bleed during the first trimester of pregnancy and everything turns out just fine.  Good luck!
