I spend much of my SAHM time cooking. It is a bit of a passion of mine...
and if anyone has cooking questions I'm not being prideful but I'm %99 sure I'll have answers for you.
I've cooked for a family of 3-7 since I was 13... and watch literally like 3-4hrs of food network a day when I can.
Last thanksgiving I cooked for 10ppl and made about 11 different dishes including ham w/pineapple, and turkey. The turkey was so good even my stepsis liked it and she doesn't eat turkey!!
I make roasted chicken too...First line a baking sheet (1in deep at least) with foil turning up the edges to catch grease. Basically get your favorite veggies like :
Corn, Green beans, peas, carots and potatoes, onion, and garlic. Chop to small pieces (bite size) and mix with a little veggie or olive oil and salt, pepper.
Then get chicken breast (healthier) and leave the skin on. Add your favorite seasonings, fresh or dried and drizzle a little bit of oil on it and rub into the skin and underside (rib side). You can use deboned chicken breast, or bone in. Then roast in the oven at *375 for 45-60min. until the skin is dark brown and crunchy and the chicken juice comes out clear. let cool 5-10 min. and serve the chicken with the veggies as a side.
DH LOVES this dish!
I have plenty more. I do a "pudding cake" for birthdays. You get your favorite duncan hines mix and mix and cook it, then use a serrated bread knife to split the cake in half making 2 layers. Mix up a package of pudding whatever flavor that compliments the cake, but leave out 1/4th the liquid so it's a bit thicker than normal. Spoon onto the cake leaving a 1/2-1in area of outside edges on the cake so the pudding has somewhere to spread. Add the top layer, and ice with your favorite frosting. ENJOY with MILK!! mmmm.
