i talked to him this morrning and he said the 2 are ok to take! thank you all
I have taken Macrobid several times during various pregnancies and I know for certain that it is safe. I don't know anything about the combination of the 2 drugs but I think since your doc knows you are on one, he would not have prescribed the other if they were harmful together. I think he would have probably told you to stop taking the morning sickness medication while taking the Macrobid if the combination wasn't safe.
is it normal to be having alot of cramping and tightening ( menstral type cramps but not really, more tightning and pain) with a bladder infection or does that sould like something eles could be wrong ive had then for 2-3 days now, my doctor didnt really say anything about it when i talked to him
I have no idea if it is safe to mix those medications. DEFINITELY call and ask tomorrow morning!
I too was on macrobid and amoxycillin to treat my uti's this pregnancy. both very safe to take. not sure about the diclectin and macrobid. call the pharmacist in the am. if you are in pain tonight you can take 2 tylenol (NOT IBProfen, Motrin or Advil--these aren't safe).
I am currently waiting on tests for a kidney infection. doc has already started me on amoxycillin (just in case) and advised me to take 2 tylenol every 4 hours or as needed (i am not one to take drugs unless absolutely necessary). Will take the tylenol tonight to see if it'll help me sleep.
do you know if it is still safe to take my other medication while taking this , im on diclectin for my morrning sickness and now the macrobid , i cant get ahold of a doctor or pharmacist at this time ( past midnight) ?
I took macrobid almost every month that I was pregnant with my first son! It worked well when I could keep it down. There was no side effects except turning your pee an orangish color!
Your best bet is to call the pharmacist and talk to them about it. They have a ton more knowledge and can tell you the "class" of the drug and whether or not it is safe during pregnancy.
With a UTI you stand a better chance at treating it than not because a UTI could lead to some pretty serious complications. But again, call the pharmacist. If this particular drug isn't safe then you can at least ask for a recommendation for one that is.
