Marijuana while pregnant

So, I have heard both good & bad about smoking pot while pregnant. I'm 6 weeks along & I enjoy smoking pot, but I don't want it to effect my babys development. I am willing to quit for the sake of my child but if it doesn't effect it, I don't see why I can't. I just keep getting different things about it.

You really need into that because when your baby is tested for it and comes back positive that gives child protective services an opportunity to open services with you.

It's not as bad for the baby as other drugs but no drugs are good for a devoloping fetus. Like someone else said it makes it so the baby doesn't get as much oxygen. Personally stopped smoking weed when I find out I was pregnant because I want my baby to be as healthy as can be and would feel super guilty putting her health at risk just so I could get high. Honestly it's a personal choice just like smoking cigarettes while pregnant(which is worse than marijuana) but just keep in mind a lot of hospitals drug tests babies when they are born and you dr may even drug test you.

I dont know where you're from but I know a few mothers who smoked while pregnant & there kids came out healthy.

Reason why most people keep smoking is because they don't want to deal with the symptoms, which are part of being pregnant. But like she said less oxygen^^^

I stopped during my first trimester then started a couple times during my second trimester.  I quit 2 weeks ago, Im almost 34 wks and my sons completely fine.

It doesnt hurt baby at all. I smoked through 8 months but had to quit for other reasons. Youre good...honestly.

I say stop just while ur prego :) Trust me girl I'm 16 weeks and I still crave it badly but when I found out I stopped cold turkey! Do what's best for that baby ♡

Most Dr's offices do drug tests now. At least they do here. Even if it was medically proven to not hurt the baby, CPS would be involved the moment you peed in that cup.

ANY smoke takes oxygen from your baby. Poor oxygen=poor development
