Maryland mommies medicaid?

Does anyone here live in Maryland and if so, do any of you know about their pregnant medicaid. Like how long to be accepted, what it covers, how to apply, anything you know about it etc.

I live in maryland . And i went to free clinic got proof of pregnancy and an application for health insurance i chose priorty partner because the cover the most around here ill also get that insurance for my son or daughter. When he/she is born.  Good luck mama

I'm from ga and on medicaid I just went to the health department they gave me a pregnancy test then gave me the application for medicaid I was approved and it started the same day

No problem!...and if you were approved for WIC then you shouldn't have a problem getting medicaid either.

Just give it 2-3 days after you turn your application in and keep calling them, because they will forget about you....and they pretty much do cover everything involved with your pregnancy. Also look into the WIC program as well. Just do an internet search for one in your area, They can give you alot of help too. Good luck!

I live in Maryland and have medicaid. just go to your local health department and get an application. They usually get back to you within a week as to if you are approved or not. then you have to choose which plan you want. Your usually covered within 1 month of being approved, but they will back pay up to 3 months if you have to be soon before then.

Well i would definitely go like tomorrow. Sometimes they take around a month. It depends on your state really. I know here in Ohio and in Florida it takes like a month. But for you that'd be just about perfect timing. You can look on their website too... Just in case you need to bring other things.

Yes : ) I went to planned parenthood for that very reaso. (Proof of pregnancy) and was wondering how to and about how long it took to be applied to you so I can go to the doctor. I'm about 5 weeks and am trying to put a plan together. Tha k you for helping me love : )

And yea it covers the whole pregnancy. Theyll need a proof of pregnancy paper from a dr that's why i asked if you've seen one.

I just went to my countys job and family services (welfare) office and told them i was pregnant and needed to apply for medical. Have you seen a dr yet at all?

I have Medicaid because I'm pregnant... But i don't know if its 'pregnancy medicaid' it still covers my dentist and eye doctor and chiropractor... And i think everything else.
