I'm 35weeks Will be 36 weeks Monday ... How many weeks should I go on Maternity Leave my doctor said I can work up until my due date 7/21 ?? But I really planning on going 38 weeks ..

Where I live we get three months with pay. But if you have vacation you can take to add extra days with pay. I'm working up until delivery because my job isn't very strenuous.

I finished work yesterday and I was 38 weeks 5 days but I am on call for sitting positions until Monday at 39 weeks 1 day :) just listen to your body you'll know when you are done

@boo711 you can actually take 2 months off and they can't say anything

@akpanudo1992 we can only take up to 2 months off with out pay when the baby is born or we quit out jobs.  in the US

Where are you guys from ? You only get 6 weeks ? I'm in sarnia and you can get up to 1 year if you want you would get paid tho that's if you worked before the baby and all but the most you can take is 1 year here

Im working til i cant handle it anymore:) im 21weeks and fine so far but my manager is willing to give me 6-12weeks of maternity leave. Its unpaid but 12weeks is alot better than 6

My manager want me to go a Lil earlier because it's hot were I work at, but telling me I gotta b back at 6 weeks ... I'm tryna wait for the right time because after birth I wanna spend more time with my baby idk Ima have to chat with my doctor

I'm leaving at 38 weeks I have a long commute though and am scared of my water breaking or contractions starting when I'm driving down the interstate

I plan on working up until my due date along with my manager because if anything all the walking and  bending and moving will help put us in Labour lol

My doc sent me at 36weeks she said they don't recommend after because it's a risk of high blood pressure and said if I don't use it I lose it. I wasn't complaining lol
