I have medicaid and I have no clue what you ladies are talking about. I've never heard of getting a free debit card for going to appointments or getting a free car seat. I know mine covers all my prenatal care and some dental. Im in NC
I applied a few weeks ago and I was really surprised because I heard of a lot women getting the run around and it taking a long time for them get approved. I recieved my letter in the mail yesterday and called to confirm.
What is the amount of benefits do you get from WIC? I am assuming it's based on income right?
Im 19 weeks too turn 20 Thursday I was the same way it took two weeks it take a lil longer for you since you applied for food stamps but you will get it soon well alot of woman do half & half as in formula and then do mostly breast feeding and yes wic gives you milk cheese eggs cereal fruit and veggies beans or peanut butter and there a lil more
I am 19 weeks. I haven't recieved my card yet but she did give me an ID number. The letter also gave my case and EDG number. I don't plan on using formula unless I absolutely have to - like if I just don't lactate. But doesn't WIC help with dairy and cheeses?
i only asked for medicaid I didn't apply for food stamps but I do know the lonestar card is for the food and wic they have a new card it doesnt look like the lonestar card anymore I work for wic alot of the people who have been having kids have the old lonestar card for wic but if I was you definitely apply for wic it well help wit formula how far are you
Community seemed like the best choice so that was the one I chose. The lady on the phone said they would be sending my Lone Star card in the mail. I also applied for SNAP or WIC but I forgot to ask her if I had benefits for that.
Is the Lone Star Card only for food and cash assistance or is it also used to the insurane portion?
Sorry ladies but it is sssoo much easier asking you then sitting on the phone for forever and a day. Lol
