Any ladies have taking nifendical XL while pregnant? My doctor told me to take 1 tablet at bedtime. Because I been having contractions alot not painful one and I'm 32w 2d. And he said its to relax the uterus. But I was reading up on it online and read that some women talking it baby's came out with birth defects and it was a change in the baby's heart beat. Also an increase in prenatal asphyxia, caesarean delivery, prematurity, and intrauterine growth retardation have been reported. Perinatal deaths and decreased birth weights have been associated with the use of nifedipine. I'm scared to take it now. He told me to rest and no sex. I haven't had sex since I was 2 months. And I know I do alot of walking so if I rest alot more and drink lots of water should I be fine? I haven't had any contractions today or tightness in my stomach unless I'm up doing something.

I agree ^^ u can't always believe Wat u read online to b honest I do whatever it is my doctor tells me to do I don't listen to anyone else but my doctor cuz dats y I'm payin him lbvs

i had too have 4 shots in my arm too stop contractions && 2 sterriod hip shots too mature babies lungs. .
&& then they gave me the pill form of the medicane they put in my arm && it has helped its too calm the uterus && stop contractions && then they take me off of it at 37 wks if i make it that far.
youu cant always beleive what youu read onlinee youur doctor knows youu best && whats best for baby id go ahead && take it. .

He didn't send me to get no shot. Well I didn't go to the hospital. I thought it was just Braxton hicks. But when I told him it was almost everyday he said it was contractions. After reading up on it I'm just scared to take it now.

im on the same thing for preterm labor 2 wks ago && it has helped tremedoesly. .
&& i had the shots for the babies lungs && the shots too stop contractions in the e.r
with ouut the medicane most likely i wouldve had my daughter by now.
its too calm the uterus && stop contractions.
