Medicine ?

Yesterday I went to the hospital & found out that I had a bacteria infection which they said was normal in pregnancy. They prescribed me a medicine called flagyl & it's a small thick chalky pill that's leaves a nasty after taste behind it. I have to take it twice a day for 7 days & every time I take it it bothers me. This morning I woke up to take with food on my stomach & I almost threw it up, should or shouldn't I stop taking the medicine since I have a dr appt coming up on thursday with my obgyn? Maybe they can prescribe something different for me that I can tolerate

I don't think they normally give flagal for uti. If thats what it is get cranberry tablets from Walmart or a pharmacy. Take a double dose first time then as directed and drink plenty of cranberry juice without suger added and water. No antbotics needed and safe for baby

You do not need to take flagal while pregnant by what I heard. If you have bv( bacterial vagtisis) you need the cream that's inserted. Call your doctor tomorrow and let them know what's going on. They might want to see you sooner. Bv is not normal in pregnacy and must be treated
