Membrane sweep!! Please answer!! :)
So as some of u ladies know monday i was supposed to be getting a membrane sweep! Well im going to my doc tommarow and she said she may do it tommarow for me! So im flipping out!! I didnt get a whole lot of responses last time soo pleeeease i need a little more answers. Does it hurt? How fast did it work for u? Did it work for u?? Pleeeease any answers will be appreciated!!
A membrane sweep is something ur doctor does to try n put u into labor naturally. They seperate the membranes from inside and basically it throws ur body into labor within 48. Hours if it works! And @bentleysmommy! Thats awesome! I sure hope it works fr me. Im a little over 2 cm and 100% effaced!
I had mine done last Wednesday and my water broke the next morning. It was uncomfortable but not horrible pain or anything.
I have a question srry bt wut is a membrane sweep I'm at ftm & I'm 26 weeks prego how Do u get it or wut causes it??
Mine was a hair more uncomfortable then a pap... Though they use a metal thingy to reach my cervix. It's like a sucky period after from my experience. If u can try walking after. I found shopping with a cart to lean on easiest.
It is a little uncomfortable. It's a lot of pressure. But I didn't find it as painful as contractions. When my dr did it she ended up deciding to induce me that day anyway so I'm not sure if it did work or not.
Well ive been in and out of labor n delivary alot as its like i dont ever stop contracting. I hust never dialate lol. Ny doc calls me a chronic contractor so thats y i feel its gunna work.
Its alittle un comfortable . You may bleed alittle so dont freak if you see blood and slim. It never worked for me. it can make your belly have alot of brakston hicks contractions. And you might get a little sore down there as well. But ive read that it helps others so you never know
