Menstrual like cramping

Has anyone had menstrual like cramping in the third trimester? Could the pain be related to dilating? I have had constant cramps every day this week and so tired of it.

my doctor said it's normal only to call if starts to become severe where I am unable to anything else or if I start to notice a pattern of like every 5 mins then it's probably contractions.
I am 34 weeks 4 days and have had a lot of cramping this week as well I think it's the heat ( it's like 100 here and I am in WI ) so just drink lots of water and try to do to much. sit on the couch and relax whenever you can . it seems to help with the cramping

I've had it off and on for about a month now. Everytime I tell my Dr he says it's normal as long as it isn't severe or accompanied with bleeding. Also, he says to keep my water intake up and that may help with the cramps.
