Miscarriage and Morphine

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and started bleeding, had an ultrasound and labs done. Ultrasound showed me at 5 weeks. When I was 5 weeks I had a migraine and the er dr gave me morphine even after confirming the pregnancy. Could I be having a miscarriage and could the morphine have caused it? I don't have any pain just bleeding more than spotting.

I would to get checked out for sure. I had massive bleeds and clots this pregnancy too. It's not a great feeling. I hope everything is ok. They can run a stat beta on you while you are there. Keep us posted!

I just passed some clots, maybe I should go to the ER. I still don't have pain but that doesn't mean anything. Was waiting on some HGC labs from two days ago and today, no one called me yet.

Implantation and ovulation dates would be off. You should know more on your next ultrasound about how far along you are. Ultrasound would be most accurate in determining how far along you are

Thank you for sharing. I don't understand though, how I'm supposed to be 8 weeks and the ultrasound measured at 5 weeks and I'm very sure about my last period.

I had morphine at 20 weeks when I had to have surgery and baby is fine.  Doctors wouldn't give you anything if they knew it was going to harm you or baby.

Im not a doctor but morphine is probably not going to cause a miscarriage. Just think about how many women don't even know they are pregnant for months and don't know to avoid certain things. Bleeding can be common in pregnancy. Each time you have a bleed make sure to notify your OB, stay off your feet and drink plenty of fluids. Each bleed should be checked out. It's not normal but it is common in the first tri

It could just mean a threatening miscarriage. That happened to me twice in this pregnancy when I was about 5weeks pregnant. I was bleeding but didn't have any pain. I just took it easy and now I'm 24weeks. Just take it easy

bleeding doesn't necessarily mean miscarriage. Are you cramping? I doubt the morphine would have caused a miscarriage. They give narcotics to pregnant women all the time.
