Miscarriage or Not

Okay this may be a long story, sorry.I am 2o years old and had miscarriage when I was 14 years old. Afterwards I was put on the depo and was on the shot for 5 years. Ive been off the depo for 1 half or 2 yrs now. I recently just took a hpt on Oct. 27 which came back positive. I took 2 more hpt (first response and clear blue) and they both came back positive. I made a doctor appointment, got in later Oct. 28th for a pregnancy test. The Doctor only took a urine test which came back negative. I was confused so I took 3 more test that night (Oct. 28th) and they all came back positive. which resulted in 6 positive hpt. I was going to wait a few more weeks and go back cause I figured maybe I wasn't far enough along. well I started spotting on Nov. 1 which later led to a small period, I didn't worry to much at this point do to research I found on here. Then Nov 2 I was at work and passed a blood clot just One I must say wasn't any bigger than my thumb. So possibly a nickel size. the bleeding never got heavy but I was concern and went to the ER. They took some blood and urine and indeed I was pregnant. They took some more blood different area and different nurse to see what my blood type was, I was A+ so I was okay with that. Anyhow they did an ultrasound and couldn't find anything. At the end of my ER visit the doctor had said I had miscarried and I would have a normal period for the next days just might be more crampy, also I wouldn't need a D&C. She also said I hadn't passed any tissue and my cervix was closed.. My HCG level was 17, what does that mean? and that she would like me to check up with an OB in a week.to make sure everything is alright. I guess I'm confused because it is now Nov. 5th and I haven't bled for one full day now. My normal period last 8-10days. I only bled for 3. Never passed any tissue just discharge and blood. Did I miscarry or is it possible I'm still pregnant?

Medically speaking,  if you started having positive pregnancy tests on October 27th, then your hcg should be higher than than 17.  It's possible your are still pregnant,  but not likely.  (I'm sorry,  I don't mean to disappoint you,  but I wouldn't want you to have false hope). The best way to know would be to repeat the hcg. Because if you're only 4 weeks along now then an ultrasound wouldn't show anything but your beta should still rise.

I hope everything works out for you.

You may be too early, and it could be your implantation bleeding which can last honor 12weeks.

W, this pregnancy I thought I miscarried as well, I was bleeding at 6weeks went to er and they said I might miscarried and I was torn, second time at 7weeks 5days I started bleeding, passing bloodblood clots 5of em and was cramping, I started crying went to we and they said the same thing, 3rd time at 12weeks same thing but my ob didn't knw why I was bleeding, all she said it could've been implantation still and after tht everything was fine, I am now 19weeks and baby boy healthy.
So I hope the heat for you, have faith and check w, your ob. You may still be pregnant. Just dnt stress
