Had a miscarriage on october 8 & still bleeding, Is this normal & long long will the bleeding last?/

When I miscarried I bleed for 6 weeks my obgyn said it's normal after miscarriage to bleed for a month or two. Make sure your using pads so u dint get an infection and you shouldn't be having intercourse

I forgot to add that a friend of mine had the same thing happen.   should have had a d&c but they didn't do it and it caused fertility issues for her as well.

I would go to the Dr.  

I had a miscarriage in June 2010 and the bleeding lasted 8 weeks,  after that I didn't get a normal cycle again.  I went to a specialists to figure out what why since before it I was having regular cyclese. Basically they figure I should have had a D&C but the drs office reffered me to the ER and the ER didn't do the referral that they said they were doing so by the time I got to a dr it was too late to do it.  Then the dr referred me to an OB, who referred me to a fertility specialist.  I had a HSG that cleared out whatever was still there from the miscarriage  and within 1 month of the HSG I got pregnant.   Now I'm 12w but it took well over a year get everything figured out.

Yes you can bleed for that long. It's your bodies way of cleaning you out. When I had a miscarriage in Nov 2010 I bleed untill late January . U normally bleed depending on how far along you were

darl i had a miscarriage in march this year and i bleed straight for 3 motnhs so everyones different darl hope all works out take care :)

I would pop in and see your doctoe, me personally I think the bleeding has gone on for abit too long, maybe you havent expelled everything and thisa is causing the prolonged bleeding
