I'll be 20 w tomorrow... Is it really that big of a deal to eat a foot long from subway without getting it heated or toasted?

Everyone has their own opinion and is entitled to it but in my opinion no. There is a very small risk of consuming cold cuts and getting listeria. Im pregnant with my 3rd baby and I cant get enough of subway and my jersey mikes subs! :) To each their own, but i have 2 healthy babies which both i consumed cold cuts and i am on my way now with this babe to grab a sub NON HEATED. :D Take care and enjoy whatever ur choice may be. :)

Cold cuts can carry a bacteria that can cause blood poisoning in the baby, I know people who ate cold cuts their whole pregnancy no problem but everyone's different. I stay away from them just because I don't see the point in risking it.

I asked my doctor and he said the chance of getting anything are slime however if you do get sick it's life threatening to the baby. It worries me there is a possibility so I have them warm the meat up and then put it back in the fridge when I get home
