Morning sickness at 7 weeks

I'm 7 weeks today and my morning sickness is so bad I have a hard time getting out of bed and doing anything. I can keep any food down. How long will this last and are there tricks to help with morning sickness?

Hi there.  Oh sorry to hear!!  I had horrible morning sickness with both of my pregnancies.  Started around week 6 and for me, ended around week 13.  Mine would come and go but when it was there, ugh.  Like having the stomach bug.  Hated it!!  It helped me to always have something in my stomach.  I kept crackers with me at all times -- even by the bed side.  I ate a lot of protein.  Not sure why but felt it helped.  (that might have been in my head but you do what you gotta do to get through.  LOL)  Switching and taking your prenatal vitamin before bed verses in morning during the day helps.  Crystalized ginger is supposed to help.  I liked and don't know if it helped or not---  but did eat it.  Here's an article that has the reasons why we get morning sickness and some ideas :

Good luck and remember it is al for a good cause.

it depends on each pregnancy. with my son i didn't have any morning sickness, and with this baby i had morning sickness up until i was around 9 weeks. if you're having a really hard time, talk to you doctor and he can prescribe some nasuea medication for you. feel better!
