Exercise ball?

Has anybody tried sitting on an exercise ball to induce labour? Just went and bought one and wondering does anyone have success stories? Im due today and as of last wednesday 2cm dilated, partially effaced and 4/5ths palpable..

The key to using the ball is rotating your hips in wide, slow circles. It's supposed to widen your pelvis in order for the baby to drop more. I used while labor with my first & just bought one for my house last week. I haven't used it a whole lot but went from being 20% effaced, thin thick but high last week to 100% effaced, completely thinned & his head right there. Doc says as soon as he starts to come he'll be here very soon after. Maybe it was the ball maybe not. The babies will come when they're ready though, nothing we can do to rush it! Lol

I wouldnt have said it induced labour, they are comfortable while in labour and they are great for posture while pregnant, especially if baby is in the wrong place, it can help encourage them into the right position.

I used one. It didn't induce labor, but it did support my pelvic bones and felt SO much better than a regular chair. I recommend one, just not for inducing labor lol
