Mucus plug

I have lost my mucous plug buy it was only jelly like but alot. No blood. I am 40 weeks and 5 days suppose to be induced on Feb 16th. No pain no contractions but had a tight stomach earlier. I have had 2 other children - 1 is 21 yrs old, other is 5 yrs old and this one. I have always been induced so I do not know if this means I won't have to be or if labor will start soon. Has this happened to anyone and when did u go into Labour after loosing your plug

I lost mine with all 4 of my children (this being my 4th) and with the first 3 I went into labor within 24-48 hrs after losing it. This is the first time I've ever gone past my due date as well (I usually go early). Yesterday on my actual due date I lost the plug

That would be great if I don't get induced. Still nothing yet.
Thanks girls

I think your labor will start soon. My water broke within a few hours after loosing the mucus plug. It wasn't bloody either.

My midwife said that its usually 24-48 hours later that you'll go into labor after losing your plug. Not everyone has a bloody show when they loose the plug too.

So since you're over 40 weeks, hopefully you'll be in labor shortly and not have to be induced.
