Well she loves music and cartoons (obviously because of all the colors) so usually it's music videos while I clean or cook or cartoons while she eats breakfast in the morning an the rest of the day we play and do learning activities cuz she's really smart for her age so I try as hard as possible to encourage it. I meant to bring it up at her last appointment except we were more worried about her big dose of shots and she was sick and extra clingy that day. But I think for safety sake ill see what insurance covers and get her in. I'd hate to have her be not seeing correctly and not check it out an have it cause more problems down the road. Thanks ladies! =]
Soynds pretty normal to me, my kids will always be super close to the tv if they are allowed, and my kids never actually watch tv till at least 2, it bores them.
It definitely.could be an eye sight problem if it runs in the family but also.could just be like tay 9962 said maybe she has a hard time focusin once she moves away from the tv. Its really easy for.kids tht age to.get distracted easily. I know my son is constantly distracted and we usually end up doing 2 or mpre activities at once.
yea she might not be able to focus as good far away so she's not tuning into it, set her up a eye appointment just to be sure its not something like that(it may be she's just getting distracted after you pull her away from the tv)
Children ae smarter then they look. I worked in an eyecare for years and i will tell you now, bring ur kid in for an eye check up. The first eye check up should be at 1yrs old and every year after that until they are 18. Optometrist know what to look for even if the baby cant express themselves and youd be suprise how many children have one eye that has no fonction. As a baby if the sight isnt fixed atvearly age the brain will stop focusing on the bad eye and ignore it and focuse on the good on. Get ur baby in a optometrist office, even if its just to be safe.
