with a blighted ovum, which is prob what you have, things like the placenta can keep growing which will give you pregnancy symptoms because your hcg levels are still gowing up, it can take a while for your body to realise that no baby has formed, and then for your hcg levels to start to drop.... in saying this, I remember a post that you said you were having all this discharge and to me it sounded like fertile muccous, which I said, and you said it couldnt be cause you had taken the clomid so knew when you ovulated.... I dont know but I just keep on thinking that maybe you didnt ovulate when you thought, but that odesnt explain the early positive or the slight rise in hcg, your best bet is the follow up u/s, then you will see any growth if any and to what extent and you can make an informed decision from there

Within two weeks your hcg didn't double, it didn't even rise by 500. While the numbers themselves don't indicate a miscarriage, its what the numbers do. And yours have not risen enough to be able to say that its a healthy, viable pregnancy. Your doctor should have had you in every two days to check your levels. You're going to feel pregnant as long as there's hcg present.

If you're positive that a miracle has taken place, go to the er.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be blunt but if your levels are not rising and the sac has not developed, it is a blighted ovum or a miscarriage. I don't want to give you false hope about this :-(.

The reason you still have symptoms is because your body still has hCG in it. hCG is what causes the symptoms, and it has nothing to do with how well the pregnancy is progressing unfortunately. We've had many women on here with missed miscarriages who had weeks and weeks of symptoms only to go in at 8/9/10+wks and discover that the baby hadn't developed in over a month or more.

Until your body miscarries, or you get a dnc, you will continue to have symptoms most likely...and this is normal.

I would love to think that the baby has survived, but the only way to know would be to a follow-up ultrasound....and you are of course entitled to do one if you are concerned.
