I'm sorry that you are sick. I am 33 weeks and during my pregnancy I had two colds, one ear infection, and two stomach virus' so I know your pain. My OB told me that I can use Tylenol cold and sinus just as long as it is the daytime formula. I would say that if it's been more than 2 weeks and not getting better it's time to see your family doctor as you may have a sinus infection and they may need to give you antibiotics. Like somebody else said above you can use a humidifer to help keep your nasal passages draining. I know you don't want to do this either but drink lots and lots of water. The water will help your "secretions" thin out and drain. Unfortunately it's going to take a little for your sinus' to dry up. So sorry you are sick and hope you feel better soon.
Being pregnant affects your sinuses horribly. Hopefully it clears up soon!
My last pregnancy I got an upper respirator infection so badly (I believe it may have been H1N1 but I was never tested) and had this dry, hacking cough for 3 months straight. I could barely breathe. I sympathize!
I'm sorry!! Being pregnant can be uncomfortable enough on it's own sometimes without all the added problems. :( I hope you start to feel better soon and can use the bathroom I know I can't wait for that.
oh I am already doing some thing's that I'm not supposed to... but they're not helping.. I have taken the Tylenol cold and sinus meds, not all the time just when it gets really bad, and I have to use my Class C inhaler because it's the only thing that works to keep my comfortable.... *sighs* I am just miserable! Not to mention, I still haven't completely emptied my bowels. .....I really want to enjoy this pregnancy but damn! I am just about ready to cry.....
Ask your dr if you can use Afrin nasal spray. Also use a humidifier in your room. You are so close to your second trimester which will open the door to a lot more options mediation wise including the Tylenol cold and sinus meds which may help. Ask your OB if you can use them now. I know usually they want you to wait until your second trimester and take nothing in your first trimester but maybe since your so close they will let you?
Feel better! I have it too and it won't go away! Had antibiotics and everything. Afrin nasal spray was heaven! And hot tea with honey and my humidifier.
Can't help but I'm so sorry!!! I have the same feeling and sinuses too. It ***** I wish I could take something that would actually work!! Feel better soon have you tried vapor plug INS for your room? They work wonders for my dd. Good luck
