Nausea medicine

So I have hyperemesis and I have to keep nausea medicine in my system so I have to take 4mgs of dissolvable zofran every 4 hours. It so difficult because I have a son and the meds make me so extremely tired. Ive never felt so tired before. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue with their meds and was able to take something different that didnt make you so tired

Honestly i don't know of anything else besides zofran and phenergan, and phenergan is alot worse about making you sleepy. Have you asked your doctor about maybe cutting your pills in half? I dont know how well it will work with the hypermesis, as nothing worked for mine. But it may help you. Also you may be able to do b6 with half a zofran and it have the same effect, just not as tiring.

I had hyperemesis as well, my doc put me on 50mg vitamin B6 and one half of a 25mg tablet of unisom before bedtime every night. It worked wonders for me! I was on bedrest from weeks 11-17. I still had some nausea throughout the day but it was a lot more bearable since I couldn't take the zofran daily.

I took Ondansetron. They're generic for Zofran.. They were 8mg dissolvable tablets & they worked great ! I never had any morning sickness but on the days I didn't feel good, these really helped.

I don't know if its available where you are but ask your doctor about Diclectin. I took that in my first two trimesters because I couldn't keep anything down. I didn't have hyperemesis, just really bad morning sickness.
