am I the only one? :(

I know my body is supposed to change but for some reason I still feel so discouraged about getting big. I have always had self esteem issues and was just getting over them when I got the news. I'm 12wks 2 days. And I am already showing a good bit because I am so short and my baby has no where else to go. I don't wear anything that shows my bump. I always wear either my boyfriend's shirts or my brother's shirts which are huge on me. I feel so shallow and like a bad mom already because I feel this way. Has any one else felt like this? :(

I am on the same page as you.. This is my second child and with my first I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. But this time I am so unhappy with my body. I am small to begin with.. I started out my pregnancy at 115 pounds and being 5'8.. but now that I have gained ten pounds I feel like a whale... I am so ashamed.. 22w 4d and I am terrified of gaining anymore weight..  it's weird because although I am 125 I am considered be underweight... I guess I shouldn't feel this way but I can't help it.. I look at myself with digust... :'( ... I started going to the gym a few times a week and cut out the junk food ... win win... good for the baby and myself... I am starting to feel a little better ... maybe it would help u too! Good luck and feel better.

Most people find pregnant women beautiful and incredibly attractive. Hiding it does sound like youre ashamed of the gift you get to experience when so many other women will NEVER get to carry their own babies. When I had thought I would need surgery from infertility and I heard about women hiding their pregnancy I instantly hated them and wished I could scream at them and tell them how damn lucky they were to ever experience such a thing. Maybe immature, but emotions are emotions. I have weight issues myself and had JUST lost 60lbs before I found out I was pregnant, but I have yet to find a single person who isnt eager to see my baby bump and I actually felt like I was letting them down not being big enough lol! Just come to terms with it. Think of when ur baby is about to have their own and suddenly realizes you werent excited enough about THEM but still so focused on YOU that you hid them from the world long as possible.

I'm with you, I'm terrified of getting big. I am 5ft and was 108lbs before I got pregnant and now I'm 18 w 3 d and 123 lbs...I step on the scale twice a day because I'm so freaked our about getting big. I'm showing quite a bit, but I wear a belly band with normal clothes to make myself feel better. Hang in there and just don't go over board, my sister went crazy with the food during both her pregnancies and it took her almost 10yrs to drop the weight. I don't want to be in that situation.
